Tara L. Aldridge, known to many

as TRU Essence, has many talents

under her belt but she's most known as a published poet/writer and author of her freshman book, Shadowed Reflection. As a native Washingtonian, TRU grew up in SE  Washington, DC and honed her musical gift as a student at the Duke Ellington School of the Arts and continued to perform as a solo vocalist and with several groups. TRU was the musical director of several choral ensembles in the late 90s and went on to study Music Business and Audio Production at the Omega Recording Studios School of Applied Recording Sciences.

Producing and writing for several artists between 2002-2008, TRU decided that her love

for her craft did not end with her

but transcended beyond

self-interest.

TRU's anticipated

literary projects are set for a

Fall 2021 release via Weeping

Fountain Books.
